Williams & Parfitt officially opened the doors to their new antiques, interiors and lifestyle shop in Wymondham this weekend, and the response from the local community has been incredible.

Donna Williams and Ryan Parfitt have been completely blown away by the support, kind words and positive comments from everyone who came through the doors on opening day.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who came along to have a look around, support the shop and make a purchase from Donna, Ryan or one of the fantastic independent dealers who have joined the venture.

Many of these dealers believed in the vision for the shop when it was nothing more than an empty shell of a former department store.

The response from the people of Wymondham has been overwhelming. It was especially nice to meet so many visitors who have been following the journey on social media and watching the transformation of the building over recent weeks.

Seeing Caius House filled with conversation and beautiful antiques made all the hard work worthwhile. Williams & Parfitt are proud to have established an independent business in such a prominent site while continuing the building’s long connection with furniture and interiors.

If you have not visited yet, you will find a carefully curated selection of antiques, vintage furniture, interiors, original artworks from talented local artists and distinctive lifestyle pieces from a range of experienced dealers.

Williams & Parfitt is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm and Sunday from 10am to 3pm at Caius House on Middleton Street in Wymondham. The team looks forward to welcoming both new visitors and familiar faces in the weeks ahead.

A New Antiques, Interiors & Lifestyle Shop in Wymondham

Williams and Parfitt are excited to open a new antiques, interiors, and lifestyle shop in Wymondham town centre this spring.

The shop will occupy 300 sqm of retail space over two floors in Caius House on Middleton Street, a building with a century-long connection to the furniture industry in Wymondham. Locals may remember it as the former Jarrolds store, but its history stretches back to 1925 and Charles Henry Bird’s furniture and cabinet making business at 7 Middleton Street, later becoming Jacksons Furniture and Carpet Store in 1947 before Jarrolds took over in the mid-1980s. Since closing in September 2024, the premises have remained empty.

Donna Williams & Ryan Parfitt

Donna Williams and Ryan Parfitt, both Wymondham locals, are proud to bring an independent antiques and interiors business back to this prominent town centre site, continuing Charles Henry Bird’s legacy of selling fine furniture to the people of Wymondham.

The shop will be a modern antiques centre, showcasing items from multiple antiques and vintage dealers.

Unlike a traditional centre, dealers will not have fixed rooms or pitches. Instead, all items will be thoughtfully styled together, creating a curated shopping experience where antiques, vintage furniture, and interiors complement each other. This proven approach is already a success at their current shop in Morley St. Botolph.
