This antique oak glazed display cabinet dates to the late Victorian or early Edwardian period, with Arts and Crafts influence in its restrained proportions and carved detailing. The cabinet has two glazed doors, each framed with subtle carved decoration at the top, adding character without feeling heavy or ornate. This carved detail is reflected on the sides of the piece.
Inside, there are two adjustable shelves, making it easy to adapt for books or display pieces. The glass doors means it works especially well as a curio cabinet for ceramics, glassware, or small collectibles, while also serving neatly as a compact bookcase.
The cabinet was likely once part of a larger dresser, but it stands confidently on its own today. It can be wall hung or used as a tabletop cabinet, offering flexibility for different spaces. A practical and attractive piece with honest period detail, well suited to both traditional and eclectic interiors.
