Vintage Industrial Searchlight Floor Lamp on Surveyor's Tripod

This vintage industrial spotlight is mounted on an original wooden surveyor's tripod, creating a striking piece of functional industrial design.

The light is a vintage searchlight or military / maritime signal light with a heavy cylindrical steel body finished in weathered yellow paint. A thick glass lens sits at the front, while the rear housing contains the electrical components. It is mounted on a sturdy yoke, allowing the light to tilt up or down to direct the beam where needed.

The spotlight has been professionally rewired, fully tested, and fitted with a UK plug and an inline dimmer switch, making it ready for everyday use while allowing you to adjust the light level to suit the room.

The tripod is an original wooden surveyor's stand made by the British manufacturer Watts, traditionally used to support surveying equipment such as levels and theodolites. It features adjustable legs with matching yellow-painted metal fittings, pointed steel feet for stability on uneven ground, and original leather straps for securing the legs when folded.
