Military Drum Side Table

An antique military rope-tension side drum converted into a distinctive glass-topped side table. The drum features a brass shell and wooden hoops painted in a red, white and black striped pattern.

White tension ropes run around the exterior through leather tugs, a traditional system used to adjust the tension of the drumhead. A circular toughened glass top has been added to create a practical surface while preserving the original drumhead and tension mechanism beneath.
