Rustic Handmade Pottery Bowl | Green Glazed Ceramic

A beautifully handmade ceramic bowl with a wide, shallow form and gently flared sides rising from a pronounced footed base. The bowl stands on an unglazed circular foot ring, revealing the pale cream-coloured clay body beneath.

Finished in a rich jade-green glaze, the bowl has a wonderfully organic appearance with natural variations in colour and texture throughout. Small pinholes, dark speckling and areas of glaze movement are all part of the handmade process, while darker brown and iron-toned pooling around the rim and lower edges adds to its rustic character.

The interior shows subtle throwing rings from the potter’s wheel together with three darker kiln marks near the centre, highlighting the traditional methods used in its production.

Each bowl is individually handmade by a small family pottery workshop using traditional techniques. As a result, slight variations in shape, glaze and finish are to be expected, making every piece unique. We have a selection of similar examples available, each with its own individual character.
