This Markhams Vinegar flagon is in good condition. It has a salt glazed finish that gives it a smooth, glossy surface with natural colour variations. The front of the vessel is clearly marked “Markhams Vinegar.” The reverse is marked 4 1/2 and 'Doulton & Co Limited Lambeth' The flagon shows light wear from age but no major damage. It is well made with a strong handle and solid shape. This piece is a fine example of traditional stoneware and a nice addition to any collection of vintage pottery or kitchenware.
