Miniature Watermelon Painting by Ashley Kay, Norwich Artist

Original 4cm x 4cm acrylic on board mini block painting by Norwich artist Ashley Kay, presented as a chunky, freestanding artwork.

The miniature still life depicts a wedge of watermelon with rich pink-red flesh, dark seeds, white pith and a deep green rind, set against a vibrant geometric background of yellow, orange and red diagonal stripes. Visible textured brushwork gives the small composition a bold, tactile quality. A playful freestanding artwork for a shelf, mantel or tabletop.
