Mid Century Mobo Motorcycle Pedal Toy

A genuine mid century Mobo Motorcycle Pedal Toy, made in England by D. Sebel & Co. during the 1950s. Better known for the famous Mobo Bronco riding horse, the company also produced a range of pressed steel ride-on vehicles that have become highly collectible.

This pedal motorcycle features a heavy pressed steel body with stamped engine detailing, giving it the look of a classic motorcycle from the period. It has solid rubber tyres, a black vinyl seat and direct-drive pedals to the rear wheel. The front also retains its racing number 1 plate, adding to its character.

The paint has aged naturally over the years and now displays a well-worn green and yellow finish with plenty of patina from decades of use. This honest wear gives the piece plenty of character and reflects its history as a well-loved children's toy.

Today, Mobo pedal toys are sought after by collectors of vintage toys, industrial design and mid century decorative pieces. They make an excellent display item for a home, workshop, garage or retail space.
