A handsome late Victorian oak farmhouse dining table dating to around 1890, combining practical country craftsmanship with generous storage. The solid oak top has developed a warm honey-coloured patina, highlighting the characterful grain and years of honest use.
Beneath the top are four apron drawers, with two on each side of the table. Each drawer is fitted with a pair of turned wooden knobs and retains a central keyhole, reflecting the original locking mechanisms typical of quality Victorian farmhouse furniture. The drawers provide useful storage while maintaining the table's balanced proportions.
The table stands on four sturdy square tapered legs, giving it excellent stability and generous legroom all round.
