Vintage German shipping crate repurposed as a blanket box or trunk. Solid wooden construction with a hinged lid. The top was likely upholstered, with remnants of fabric still visible around the edges, though most of the upholstery is now lost.

Small castors have been added for ease of movement, along with a pair of decorative brass drop handles on the ends. The crate retains its original stencilling, including KLETT & Co. Wiesbaden, one the front, with one end further marked “K & Co S 517” identifying its commercial past.

The interior is one open space, painted and lined with floral paper. Signs of age and use throughout add to its character. A practical storage piece with a clear history, well suited for blankets, soft furnishings, or general household storage.
