This 19th-century pine shipwright’s tool chest shows strong construction and practical design. The hinged lid lifts to access a single open interior, later lined with floral paper, showing it was used as a blanket box. Exposed dovetail joints appear at each corner, showing the original craftsmanship. Rope handles on both sides let you carry it easily and give it a nautical feel. The pine has aged to a warm tone with visible grain and a natural patina. Practical storage at the foot of your bed, in a hallway, or as a low table.
