This cricket table has three legs supported by stretchers that form a sturdy triangular base. The top was likely circular when first made but has been altered over time, leaving one straight edge so it can stand against a wall. The table has been stained or painted in a dark colour that has worn with use, most noticeably on the top, leg edges, and natural wear points. Cricket tables were often used in cottage kitchens and taverns and valued for their simple build and stable tripod design.
