A rosewood fold-over games table designed for both chess and card play. The top opens to form a square surface with two distinct playing areas. One side is inlaid with a chessboard in contrasting light and dark woods. The reverse is finished with a baize playing surface suited to cards.

The table is made from richly figured rosewood with a deep, even tone that shows the grain clearly. It stands on a substantial turned pedestal that gives the table balance and presence.

The base forms a carved four-foot design with decorative feet. The fold-over action allows the table to close down neatly when not in use.

A full set of wooden chess pieces, in natural and ebonised finishes, is included and ready to use. This is a practical and decorative piece that works equally well as a games table or an occasional table with purpose and character.
