Wooden bench with a plant on a rustic background
1/7

A Victorian church or chapel pew from the late 19th century. It is made from solid dark wood, likely oak, and shows a deep, natural patina built up through decades of use.

The design is strong and practical. A high panelled back is formed from vertical boards, while the shaped ends create classic rolled arms typical of ecclesiastical furniture. Broad side supports run to the floor, and a central leg beneath the seat adds strength and stability.

The bench was built for daily use in a church or chapel, which shows in its weight and construction. Today it works just as well in a hallway, dining space, pub, restaurant, or commercial interior where you want character and function in equal measure.

A genuine antique with honest wear, solid proportions, and a timeless presence that modern furniture cannot replicate.
